A gel preparation for attracting and catching bee colonies during the swarming period
The gel contains worker bee pheromones, geraniol, Nasonov gland pheromones and citral. The preparation is intended for attracting and catching bee swarms during the swarming period.
Form of release
"Loviroy" is supplied as a thick white gel.
Application
Apply 1 g of the preparation (a teaspoon) to the swarm lure in a circle approximately 8-10 millimetres in diameter. The resulting circle should be refreshed every day throughout the swarming period of the bee colonies.
When using the preparation with a swarm trap, Loviroy should be applied once to the inside of the swarm trap, in an amount of 2 g. The swarm trap treated with the preparation should be hung on a pole or tree at a height of approximately 3 -5 metres above the ground. Such traps should be placed at a distance of 100 - 800 metres from your apiary. It is recommended to inspect swarm traps at least once every two days. After the swarm has been caught and placed in the hive where it will remain permanently, the swarm trap can be reused for up to 10 days.
The preparation should be opened immediately before use.
