When a queen bee needs to be isolated temporarily, beekeepers use special queen cages. This bamboo cage for temporary queen bee holding is made from natural bamboo and food-grade plastic. The cage allows you to remove the queen bee as safely as possible directly from the comb.

One of the cage rods slides upwards, allowing the queen bee to pass inside. The spacing between the cage rods allows worker bees to enter the cage freely and leave it just as easily. Unlike ordinary bees, the queen bee cannot leave the bamboo cage, as the gaps between the rods are too small for her. Thanks to this, the cage can be used as a temporary isolator in the hive.
