The Varolom acaricidal strip, made from wood veneer, is effectively used by beekeepers who want to treat a bee colony for Varroa mites. These strips also help with routine seasonal prevention. When used correctly and in accordance with all recommendations, residues of the preparation do not accumulate in honey, bee bread or wax, and do not exceed permitted limits.
Active ingredient - Tau-fluvalinate (80.0 mg). The active ingredient, tau-fluvalinate, is an effective acaricidal agent that acts on Varroa destructor mites. Its mechanism of action is to block the transmission of nerve impulses, causing paralysis and death of the mites.
Dosage and placement:
The strips are left in colonies for up to 30 days. For 8 frames - 1 strip between frames 4 and 5. For (10-12) frames - 2 strips between frames (3-4) and (7-8); for 16 frames - 3 strips between frames (4-5), (8-9) and (12-13), respectively. Treatment with the preparation is recommended at an air temperature of not below +10°C. The strips are left in place for 7 to 30 days.
