The "AJAX Apiary Security Kit No. 1" security system provides reliable protection for an apiary in woodland, in a field or near the home. The kit is based on an alarm system from AJAX, a leader in property protection. The "AJAX Apiary Security Kit No. 1" security system consists of a hub (Hub - the main brain of the system) and one wireless MotionProtect Outdoor outdoor motion detector, which responds reliably within a radius of 15 metres and avoids false alarms. The kit also includes a 12V PSU power supply board for connecting Hub control panels to low-voltage power sources. Up to 99 different detectors can also be purchased and installed with this system.
The AJAX Apiary Security Kit No. 1 has a convenient mobile app for installing and configuring the alarm system. An apiary in woodland, in a field or next to the house can be protected for a long time without the beekeeper’s intervention. Once the security system is switched on, the beekeeper can have peace of mind about their property, and in the event of an alarm, alarm mode will be activated immediately in the mobile phone app (alarm notifications can be configured on the phones of all family members).
To expand the security system for the beekeeper’s property, additional outdoor perimeter security detectors, an outdoor siren for audible alarms, a remote control for arming and disarming the system, and many other AJAX components can be purchased.
The main unit (Hub) of the "AJAX Apiary Security Kit No. 1" system can be placed in an empty hive together with a power source (12V battery) at a distance of up to 1700 metres in direct line of sight from the wireless motion detectors protecting the apiary or other sites. If the hub needs to be positioned further away, the AJAX ReX wireless range extender can be used (powered by 220V or with an additional 12V PSU board for power from a 12V battery). The hub itself operates from a 220 volt mains supply and has a built-in battery for up to 16 hours of autonomous operation. However, when the board is replaced with the 12V PSU (included in the kit), the power supply is changed to low-voltage 8-20V (for example, a car battery). Communication with smartphones is via a SIM card (included in the kit) with a special cost-effective tariff for use in security systems. If wired internet is available, the hub can be connected to the network via a standard LAN port.
