The product is used to treat varroosis in bees by fumigation. Hives are treated with smoke using a "Varomor" smoke cannon. Treatment can also be carried out using a syringe, in a fine stream.
Dosage: 3 ml Mavrik per 100 ml of water when using the "Varomor" smoke cannon; apply 1-2 puffs of smoke to each bee colony. Do not use during the production of honey intended for human consumption. As tau-fluvalinate can pass into honey, autumn treatment should be carried out after removing honey stores from the colony being treated.
This product is one of the most cost-effective treatments against varroa mites. With one bottle containing 30 ml of Mavrik, you can treat around 416 bee colonies, making the treatment cost per colony very low.
Special warnings and safety precautions: To avoid inhaling smoke, treatment must be carried out wearing a protective mask. Do not eat, drink or smoke during treatment. Wash hands after treatment.
