Plastic feeder with a capacity of 3.3 litres, two floats and ribbed walls to help prevent bees from drowning. Fits inside the hive in place of 2 frames.
In-hive feeder 3.3 litres (with floats)
The feeder height of 145 mm allows it to be used in hives of various designs (shallow boxes, Langstroth-Root, Dadant and horizontal hives). Made from thick plastic for durability and to prevent leaks. The ribbed walls allow bees to walk on them safely, while the slotted floats help prevent drowning. The feeder is only 74mm wide, allowing it to be installed inside the hive in place of two frames. The 470 mm length is standard for common hive types. The melting point of the plastic from which the feeder is made is around 75°C, so beekeepers should take care when using very hot syrup or other types of feed.
