Sulphur smoke bomb (+wick), 300 g "PogrebOK"

The pack contains 6 smoke bombs of 50 g each. Therefore, in small quantities the sulphur smoke bomb is used by beekeepers for treating hives, especially frames, against wax moth and other pests. When the smoke bomb burns, it releases sulphur gas, which penetrates into all cracks and destroys insects, mould and fungi that can harm bees and their honey.

Application technology: place the required number of smoke bombs (see table) on the floor of the rooms to be treated, at a distance of at least 0.5 m from flammable substances.

Directions for use: 1. Remove the wick from the packaging and unpack the smoke bomb.

2. Place the wick horizontally between the two upper briquettes of the smoke bomb. It should protrude 2-3 cm beyond the edges of the briquette. Only after making sure there are no children, unauthorised persons or animals present may the smoke bombs be lit.

3. Light the wick, make sure it smoulders steadily (a dark spot will appear on the surface where the wick touches the sulphur briquette, followed by a faint translucent smoke and a sharp odour), and leave the room.

4. Close the room.

The burning time of 2-3 cm of wick (1.5-2 minutes) should be enough for a person to leave the room being treated. Sulphur dioxide formed during burning is a fumigant. Fumigation takes place over 24-36 hours (the smouldering time of the sulphur smoke bomb is 50-60 min.). After fumigation is complete, ventilate the room for 48 hours. Complete ventilation is indicated by the total absence of the specific smell of sulphur dioxide.
