Formic Acid GEL 70 ml

Used for treating bees affected by varroatosis and acarapidosis, and also works well against wax moth.

Honey from bee colonies treated with formic acid can be used for food without restrictions.

Recommendations for use:

To control Varroa mites, it is recommended to treat the apiary twice a year:

- in spring (after the mass cleansing flight of the bees). Place the product in the hive twice for 3-5 days, with an interval of 12 days.

- In the summer-autumn period (after honey extraction). At this time, apply once for a period of 3-5 days.

When treating with formic acid, the hive entrances must be kept open.

Application: Place 1 container on the top frames per 1 bee colony for 7 days, for 6-12 frames. In cases of varroatosis, repeat the treatment after 7 days; in cases of acarapidosis, repeat 3 times.

Against wax moth and box tree moths: 1 container for 22 frames (2 hive bodies) for storing combs with or without honey in winter storage facilities without bees

Safety precautions:

When working with formic acid, always use personal protective equipment, protective clothing, rubber gloves, a rubberised apron and safety glasses.

In case of contact with skin, rinse immediately with plenty of cold water, then wash with soap and water.
